Treasures and Museums
Welcome to the earth – the memory of humanity! As if on an archaeological dig, visitors walk along a footbridge through the artificial landscape of the dig, and get to see archaeological finds from the history of mankind – from the oldest of stone tools of Neanderthal man, to the cutlery and crockery of Roman times, through to the rubble of the Second World War. Learn interesting facts from 280,000 years of history. Become a scientist at the award-winning research laboratory, or take part in a “hands-on dig” at the outdoor CAMP architectural dig. Our tip: The special exhibition on Stonehenge from September
We also recommend making a detour to the Wasserschloss Strünkede (Strünkede Water Castle) - one of the most beautiful castles in the Ruhr Valley.
One free entry to the permanent exhibition. Discounted entry to the special exhibition
