LVR-Industriemuseum Papiermühle Alte Dombach
Discover Industrial Culture
Germany’s biggest paper museum shows you how paper was once made and continues to be made today. And what the indispensable all-rounder can still do today. In the idyllically situated half-timbered complex, visitors can also make their own paper – just as it was 400 years ago. The highlight of the tour is the PM4, a paper machine dating from 1889 which is 40 m long and almost 5 m high. The extensive outdoor area is home to additional historical machines, the reconstructed mill pit and pond, the various plants from which paper can be made, a large themed playground and a cosy café.
