Dechenhöhle und Deutsches Höhlenmuseum Iserlohn

Adventure, fun & action

Excitement, fun and knowledge in the most cave-rich valley in Germany: the monumental natural world of Dechen Cave fascinates all ages alike. The mystical stalactites, dark abysses and bones of bears from the ice age give some visitors the chills. You can also learn all about caves in the adjacent museum. How do they occur? Where are the biggest caves? And who knows that the remains of dinosaurs have been found in some of the caves? A superb excursion in all weathers and at any time of the year. Explore Dechen Cave with a guided tour on well-designed, illuminated paths – and at a pleasant 10 °C!

We also recommend making a detour to the sights of Hengsteysee and Harkortsee at Herdecke nearby.

One free visit to Dechen Cave (standard 40-minute tour) and visit to the museum on the same day. Does not apply to the following days: 09. - 10.04., 11. – 12.11., 10. 17. & 24. – 26.12.
