UNESCO World Heritage Zollverein is one of the most impressive industrial monuments in the Ruhr Area. During the "Durch Koksofen und Meistergang" [Through the coke oven and hot alley] guided tour you will get to know an impressive plant, formerly the largest central coking plant in Europe with its unusual rooms, machines and paths. You walk along the conveyor bridges, climb the coke oven battery "up to the roof" and experience the coking plant with its technology and history. You also get an impression of the hard work in noise and heat. The exciting history from the decommissioning to the extensive transformation into a place for art, culture and creative industries completes the overview.

Take a trip to Zollverein colliery with the Kulturlinie 107 and combine this with a visit to the >> Villa Hügel or the >> Margaretenhöhe garden city.
