Ruhr Museum und Portal der Industriekultur

One free entry to the Ruhr Museum permanent exhibition and the Portal der Industriekultur [portal of industrial culture]. Is not valid for special events such as the ExtraSchicht on Saturday 27 June from 6 p.m.

The Ruhr Museum is the regional museum for the Ruhr Area. In its permanent exhibition, it tells us about the region's fascinating natural and cultural history from the origins of coal over 300 million years ago to today's structural transformation into the Ruhr Metropolis. A visit to the Portal der Industriekultur with the "RUHR 360°" film and the coal washing plant's panoramic roof is included. Regular special exhibitions, audio guides, a museum bag for families and a varied programme with guided tours, excursions, lectures and workshops for children round off the programme.
