Haus Ruhrnatur Erlebnis Wasser, Klima und erneuerbare Energien

One free entry to the permanent exhibition and special exhibitions. Advance booking required for groups.

The RWW Rheinisch-Westfälische Wasserwerksgesellschaft's interactive nature museum Haus Ruhrnatur is idyllically situated on an island in the Ruhr. The exhibition is located in a listed former school boathouse and invites you to be hands on. Fish from the Ruhr, small animals under the microscope, sounds and smells make it possible to experience the Ruhr ecosystem up close. The second part of the exhibition focuses on climate and renewable energies. Children, teenagers and adults experiment with wind turbines, water turbines and solar collectors and find out what they can learn from nature when dealing with energy. Your visit ends at the museum café with a view of the water.

Combine your visit to the Ruhr nature house with a detour to the >> Wasserbahnhof Mülheim an der Ruhr or enjoy the view from >> Bismarckturm.
