Sauerländer Besucherbergwerk Ramsbeck
Discover Industrial Culture
Discover the world of a disused ore mine. Equipped with a helmet and protective clothing, you will rumble 1.5 km into the Eickhoff tunnel on the former mine train. 300 m underground, experienced mine guides explain to you how lead and zinc ores were mined here until 1974. The blind shaft, which leads 420 m into the depths and the huge double drum hoisting machine are particularly impressive. When the drill rig is demonstrated, things get really loud. Tools, machines and sparkling minerals in the historic pithead building tell you even more about the world of miners – in any weather, of course.
One free entry to the Sauerland visitors' mine. Registration by email or telephone is necessary at all times
