LWL-Industriemuseum Zeche Zollern

Welcome to the “citadel of work”. Zollern Colliery (Zeche Zollern) in Dortmund is one of the best testimonies to the industrial past in Germany. The machine hall, with its colourfully-glazed Art Nouveau portal, is an icon of industrial culture made from steel and glass. Visitors can see the electrical conveyor machine in operation, which is more than 100 years old. Take a look behind the magnificent brick facades of the former model colliery, climb up to the pithead, follow the path of the coal and immerse yourself in the world of hard work underground.
