Do you know what a “Tunneligel” wagon is, what a “Schweineschnäuzchen” railcar looks like or what to do with a “Kohlenhunt” cart? Visit the Bochum Railway Museum and learn all about rail travel at the historic approx. 70,000 m2 railway depot in the tranquil Ruhr Valley. More than 120 railway vehicles from the years 1888 to 1976 await your discovery. From historic steam and diesel locomotives to more modern electric locomotives, this is where the various eras of railway history are brought to life. You can also experience the unique 1953 rail-road bus and take part in different events and activities.
