Gasometer Oberhausen

One-off free admittance into the Gasometer, incl. exhibition. Not valid for special events.

“The Mountain Calls” is the name of the large ongoing exhibition which will be featured in the Oberhausen Gasometer until Autumn. It details how we, as humans, are fascinated by mountains, and it displays
their wonderful diversity. It allows visitors to take part in the legendary first ascents of the most famous summits on earth, and shows off the unique animals and plants that exist in these extreme living environments. The main feature in the 100 m high airspace of the Gasometer is a monumental reconstruction of the Matterhorn, which, using the latest 3D technology, displays moving pictures of this legendary mountain, and floats above the visitors’ heads.

Combine the visit to the Oberhausen Gasometer with a detour to the >> Kaisergarten Oberhausen or >> CentrO, also within the town.
